Yup that's right, I have a big ole crack in the front window...anyone know a "great" Auto glass installer that has experience replacing FJ windshields?   Preferably in the East or South Bay.

Thanks,

John

Here's a idea.... because the stock, and stock replacement, windshields are crap and will only continue to break why don't we get a group buy for molded  or  Flexite Molded and Flat (Race Only

"If your application is not listed above,
you can supply us with 2 sets of factory OEM windows and an order for 10 sets,
and we will make a production run for you."

we would need to come up with 2 windshields for them but hell if I get no more cracks running the length of my windshield

Just my luck -- someone broke out my passenger window looking for a laptop to steal.

Curse you, thief!!  ::shaking fist::

Today?

That sucks!

you were lucky! that's how a thief looked for a gps in my truck (ca. $3000 in repairs)

Damn...... They literally cut around ur door lock?  WTF!
it was not cut...the lock was just pulled out with a crowbar

Dude!

That's pretty f*@#ed up right there.

Reading all these postings about chips and cracked windshields I don't feel alone.  But it still sucks!  A local company where I live offers a one year warranty of free chip repair (no limits).  After that he will replace the windshield for 50% of original installation price.

Which one? I got my first one last week.

Valley Auto Glass in Lompoc.

My last installation was through a different company because the insurance paid for it.  I am not going to go through my insurance again.  I don't want my rates to go up.  Geo at Valley Glass told me he can get the windshield 24 hours prior to the appointment and he says it takes 1 to 2 hours to install.  He told me he would try to save my top molding  (since I just had my windshield replaced 3 months ago) so I don't have to pay for another one.  I like the fact that he will repair any chips on the new windshield for a year.  At the rate I am going that is a big selling point.  When I called the auto glass company who installed my windshield 3 months ago, they told me the only warranty on their service is on leaks, or shawdy installation.

If anybody has heard anything bad about Valley Auto Glass please let me know.

Thank you Beverly!
