our base camp setup will be tweaked slightly to allow for better kitchen access for cooks and other minor details. prep meetings will begin this summer!

That's not what I heard...
Oh Lord... what's BZ been telling everyone?
It'll cost you $10 to find out what they've been saying, $20 for me to start a counter-rumor.
Cheers!
WOW !! thats cheap.....
You could walk around with your own portable EZ-up....your umbrella, ella, ella.
FJC lineup for photo opp on Saturday at 10:30 AM south of camp before the Poker Run...spread the word.
Hi guys, looks like it's going to be an awesome event and I'd really like to attend it. The only thing I'm worrying about is that I don't have any heavy duty skids except the stock ones. Is it safe enough to hit the sands without the skids or extra lift? Thanks for your reply :)
Hey Bobby, Actually the skids do not come into place at Pismo unless you plan on jumping your FJ. I would say it's one of easier places to wheel on a scale of 1-10 Pismo is a 2 with 1 being the easiest.
As Bob Barker says
"Bobby, Come on down"!
I agree,in fact the skids may act as scoops, collecting alot of sand you may not want to carry around with you.the one thing to avoid is direct contact with the salt water if possible.although there is a coin opperated car wash not far off the beach for those that can't stay out of the stuff (like me-last year)good luck.
Excellent, that's exactly what I was looking for - it's the first time I'm going off-road. One more thing. Do I need to carry any of these: high-lift jack, shovel, recovery strap, air compressor? (I know that I'll need a safety flag)

Thanks!
You should bring: high-lift jack, shovel, recovery strap, (air compressor) not so much but, if you have it bring it, it could come in handy
I'll be making it to my first SnT and also first time driving on the beach/dunes. I've done some research of the do's and don'ts of driving in sand so hopefully I'm prepared enough. If not I'm prepared with my recovery gear and if one of you fine folks can snatch me out that would be great! I've also added my name to the Mob List, # 399.

So who's all driving down Thursday night or Friday early morning?....eehhhh I guess I can pose that question in the SnT chat room in a bit.
