5th Official Install Day and Meet & Greet - August 16, 2009

hey gang, we're back to CA Annie and MoabFJ's pad for the 5th Official Install Day and Meet & Greet.

Date: Sunday, August 16, 2009
Time: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: 3065 Richmond Parkway, Richmond, CA - the green pointer is the entrance to the gate-secured lot where we will be hosting the social.
More information: The area used for the install day is a gate-secured parking lot and has a small picnic area. The lot can easily accommodate a little over 20 rigs. Bring your own food and beverage...your own tools would help too, but feel free to inquire about needed tools beforehand.

install days are a great way to seek that extra hand you need to get that bumper on or learn how to do simple installs yourself. these events are also meet & greets, so it's the perfect way to see what others have done to their FJCs and to meet members of the NorCal FJs.

if you have an item you'd like to install or need help with, please post up.

the 6th Official Install Day and Meet & Greet will be held in the Sacramento area this fall. date and location TBD.

Hi P!
We're going to be out shopping today, may look for a charcole grill that we can take to the office and on camping trips. If iit becomes a PITA we may skip it, but we're going to look.

Something we can grill chicken and steaks. The propane grill we have would not be good for grilling meat, was meant to use with pans. Can you throw meat directly on yours? I dont remember what type you have.

Vince had a charcole grill at the last wrenching day, but he's loaned it out.

We just set up our new cot, those are going to be so nice for sleeping! I usually get about 3 hrs of sleep on these camping trips. Need more!
The grill I have is for BBQ'ing. It is not huge but can fit 2 tri tip plus some hot dogs so should be okay to do a half dozen chicken breast. Not gonna feed a large group at once but will work in a pinch.

Boss has a weber he brought to WAMP that would be perfect maybe you can convince him to bring it tomorrow.
I also have a small charcoal grill I can bring. I think Boss said he was going to bring his new trailer so I have he sees this post and can bring the weber.
Dammit I was supposedly be getting my coilovers before the install but I guess not...but might as well buy parts for the trunk latch opener...can somebody help me out...hahha so I got something to do while I go to my first MnG
Ajay I have an extra aluminum rod if you want it.
I can help. Since I did my suspension I have nothing to do :)

Just coming to meet everyone!
For those of you who have nothing to do to your rigs, I have the AFE cat back to install as well as some skid plate adjustments to do so feel free, helping hands are always good.
Thats good to hear, i feel left out not bringing any things to do with me :)
So I would like to have a look at the flat tire, other than that I do not have much to do (unless somebody has the expertise to change a CV boot). I will also show my new cool "hot shower" but again, I think it's too complicated to install.

I want to rewind my winch line.

I have some food for tomorrow - but I read there might be a grill. What is the status? Everybody should bring its own meat or....????
I will bring sodas.
I've got a big pack of marinated boneless/skinless chicken breast, and Mark marinated up a tri-tip, hoping to find some grill room.

We've also got a cool new Kurig coffee pot at the office, a big bag of chips, and cookies.
We've got some beer, I dont know how big our crowd will be. There's a BevMo right down the road that opens at 10am, if we need anything. Also a Kraegan Auto Parts.

I ran into a guy at OSH today, Robert, with a shiny 2006 Voodoo that needs dirtying up. Said he and mrs would stop by.

We've got a Bandi Mount to install, winch repair, and control arms. We're bringing bottles of the Voodoo and White Toyota paint, if anyone needs to use for touch up work.

Sounds like a party! See you soon - A
I was only planning on installing my inchworm e-locker guard but now have a bumper to install, thanks Ray!

I'll bring the grill, some hot dogs, chips, and drinks.....
