Revived the old thread and am starting a new one! those of us with rigs whose pulleys have failed or are interested in replacing them before failure should get on it and post up interest!

Im going to order the parts from Rockauto.com and it'll total out to about $200 shipped for:
GATES Part # 36174 x1
GATES Part # 36173 x2
DAYCO Part # 5070835 x1 (belt)
GATES Part # 38411 x1 (belt tensioner)
the belt change isnt necessary but i figured as im around 75k i might as well change it out since ill be in there.
Maybe we can turn this into a whole install day too if anyone has anything else to install.

That looks like an epic spot to me especially if we can get the fee waived.
I have two brand new OEM Serpertine V-belts if anyone need/want them.
Nestor, so those part numbers i put up on the first post are good to go? as im going to order today sometime, also i wouldnt mind going back to the OEM belt if you still have it available (price?). will you be joining us for this install day? i sure know that i could use your expertise!

My OEM belts are now allocated. Not sure yet if I can make it to the install meet.
The general is planning to go to Millbrae.

Just a FYI, in most cases it's cheaper to buy the whole tensioner assembly.
Then just change the pulley over as it's a bit more work to remove the whole thing. Just remember the bolt is reverse threaded, righty loosey, lefty tighty in this case ;o).
Also, I've seen a few Gates and Goodyear Gatorback belts fail not too long after installation (Cowboy at high sierra a couple years back), do yourself a favor and get a genuine Toyota belt, they are pricey but last a long time.
Changed my original at 78,000 and it was still in pretty good shape, I only changed it because I was doing my pulleys.

Are you saying to buy the OEM tensioner and then switch only the pulley (which would leave you with an unsealed bearing)? Or will the sealed bearing from the Gates tensioner fit on the OEM tensioner?
nah, the other way around, leave the tensioner in place and just put the "new" pulley on it with the sealed bearing.
In most cases, like RockAuto, it was cheaper to by the GATES 38411 than it was to special order just the pulley thru NAPA or Monument.
Just ordered my parts from rockauto. How long did it take you to receive them?
ill get my Belt today but i wont get anything else till friday/saturday
