New Ham Operator!

Hi All, been a little quiet over here so I just wanted to announce, I passed my tech exam on Thursday and got my call sign this morning.

Did one of the cram classes and test same day, only missed 2 questions.

Pretty much, it's in and wired up. I have the control head velcro'd in place for now on a temp bracket on the console with the main box mounted behind the seat on the front of my storage box. It's more or less a temp install until I really think out where I want the control head and how well I can hear the radio without an external speaker.

HRO had some neat looking mounts in there cat. for the control head, so next trip over there I'm going to check them out. Going to tinker with it some more on Friday.

I was in HRO (Sunnyvale) today, just killing time before an appointment. Too much expensive stuff in there.
