FJ Cruisers of Northern California
I am thinking about getting seat covers.
What have other members bought? How happy are you with them?
I would prefer the low budget end of the range, but would consider others as well.
I have seen CoverKings for about $130 and Clazzio for $400 plus.
Any thoughts?

i still like my Wet Okoles...on the higher end of the scale, but definitely worth it. easy to clean and never gets too cold/hot.
Yeah, I know, how hard could it be? They are just seat covers. I think it took me about 4 hrs--but it was the first sheepskin install for me. I have installed the Toyota covers on my 4runner and they were a piece of cake. The SS's were made for the seats but they have to be pulled tight with elastic loops with little wire type hooks that are hard to find something to attache them to. The hardest part is getting the material sucked deep enough into the junction of the bottom seat and the backrest. Tech tip----- I finally cut holes in the skin and threaded some string thru and tied it off in back of the seat. If you don't do that your butt just doesn't slid back far enough and it is uncomfortable. Well there you have it--I'm probably just a cry baby
Well that's good to know.
I had some sheeps myself many vehicles ago. They are comfy!
I did have the bottom of the seat issue when the strap broke. Didn't think of the string trick.
I was checking out those Wet Okoles on their web site. They look pretty cool.
They look really tight. So much so that I wonder if they had to remove the seats
to get that fit.
Did you put those on yourself Steve or did you have them done?
sorry, just saw this. they were simple to put on. i think the toughest parts were the armrests, but the material stretches enough to get them on. don't bother getting the rears if you plan to put the rear seats down frequently for storage.
Nice.
I like how Wet Okoles offer map pockets and embrodery and lots of color options.
Sooo...Group buy?
i don't think we could get anywhere near a good discount unless we have over 20 interested parties...maybe more. i remember the long list we needed when there was a group buy in the Blue Room. our best bet is to keep an eye open for one there.
I to like the Wet Okoles (would like a set)...we should organize a group buy!
I highly recommend the WET OKOLES.... I have a pair for the the front, and I bought Potatomutato's reat seat cover, and I LOVE them. They are a little pricey, but they are worth it!! Everyone who has seen mine has wanted to get a pair for themselves because they are custom made to fit FJ's and they fit like a glove. I have a dog whose nails tend to get long (bad dog owner I know...) and they stand the test of time.
Seriously...there is no comparison. Get the Wet Okole's and you'll be pretty happy.
