Yes the snow out was a bummer. Evedently the race was a go until at the last minute the riders protested and refused to ride because of conditions. At race start time I was in Tahoe City and it was snowing like a blizzard and visibility was less than 100 feet. Six of the tour support motorcycles crashed on the course following the cancelation.
When I arrived at the cabin Saturday night I found that the bears had broken in and trashed the place. They ripped everything out of the kitchen and pushed the refrigerator across the room. Spent a nervous night sleeping with one eye open and my gun next to the bed and kept thinking I heard something coming in through the broken window.
Sunday afternoon when I went to head for home I-80 was a parking lot because of the 50 closure and chain controls over the pass. I ended up going home through Downyville which was spectacular, and got home 6 hours latter.
Hey at least the workshop went well and as planed. That was a good time and very informative. A big thanks to you and Tony
Yes it was good to meet you and your friend. Next time you come up this way maybe we can plan a trail run. Thanks for the decals. Have a safe trip home.
Hey it's ray, I'm still on the ship snd just got into LA. Long story short is it too late to get in on the freedom windows gb? I probably missed it. I'm headed back to Alaska tomorrow night and won't be home till may... Like i said I probably missed it but it's worth a shot.
Ok, so I'm looking around the web at other FJ forums and see that some clubs have their own grill badges. Do we have these?!? I would buy at least 2 or 3. I realize these things can get pricey, I think it'd be really cool to have our own badges...
haha yea thats about the only thing nice about this part of the midwest! I make the drive from here in Burlington to where Im originally from about an hour south of here in Illinois quite a bit. Ill have to add some pics to my profile, Ive been bad about not taking many. I bought a 2010 TT, only added a set of Spidertrax 1.25" spacers all around, oem hitch & wiring, and oem aluminum pedals so far. Now am torn between getting some OME 883 springs & clazzio leather seat covers or Toytecs adjustable coilover kit for it. Only looking to level it out at this point, but adjustables seem to be the way to go!
Hey thanks for the welcome! I haven't had the FJ offroad a whole lot yet, especially not to any parks. I know a lot of people go to a park south of me a ways in Hannibal. Ive been by there a lot, seems like a really nice place, anything from mild to wild it looks like but I havent had the guts to take the FJ out there yet, Ive only owned it about 8 monthes & just rolled 10k miles a few weeks ago.
Got the coils and top plates back from the powder coater today, they look better than new. Dropped the White Knuckle sliders of for powder coating today as well. Still waiting on the quote from All-Pro to rebuild the struts. If I can track down a decent deal on a set of UCA's for the front I'll have the truck looking much better for the next get together.
I'm terrible with names so I was hopping you could refresh my memory on who I met at the Goose and what their forum ID's are. Order any decals yet?

Quite true my good man.
Quite true.
: )
That's a good point.
If my truck runs on patron do I burn the fuel to get away from a bad situation.
Or do I drink the fuel and feel better about were I'm at.
I must contemplate this. Hmm...
Probably have to go nuke powered just to be safe.
: D
