Snorkel... Who has'em?

Ok, was envolved in a fender bender about a month ago and passenger side fender has some scuffs and minor scratches right where a snorkel would go. So with the G/F's aproval (she thinks it looks cool!) i'm now strongly concidering one. Now i'll be honest, i don't believe this will encourage me to ford any 5 foot rivers or anything (not fond of a wet interior or the smell associated with it), i do like the sound of added performance. So i'm looking for real world answers from my fellow norcal peeps on there personal experiance's. If you could do it over again would you? Do your rigs feel like they have a little more get up and go? Thanks for any input.

If you do end up doing it make sure you do the breather mods too. That way if at the spur of the moment you decide "hey i have a snorkel I can cross that" you will have protected the rest of the components too.

I have a snorkel and trd CAI, the combination of the two woke up the fj substantially

I know this thread is a bit old.... but I do have the correct hole saw for the snorkle installation if anyone needs to borrow it. I'm in Alameda.

Hi Guys! little update,

I ordered the Snorkel last week and it should be in by mid to late febuary. Looking forward to this as i have a couple of new ideas for hooking it up to the TRD CAI.
