I did the same as Brandon (5150.) Here are a couple of pics on running the wires. A hole was drilled in the roof under the passenger front pad, then weather sealed.

I'm new to the forum. I am trying to mount some rear-facing lights on my rack, but I want them to light up when I go into reverse. I haven't had my FJ but for two weeks and there is a lack of vision when trying to back-up. Does anyone have a way to hook them up to the reverse switch or can I splice into the back-up wiring????? also will those lights from Northern Tool or even Wal-mart do or do I need to get a more powerful light (driving/fog). Thanks for letting me visit your site!!!

having them come on with the reverse lights should not be too hard. Believe you can just tap into the reverse light to switch on a relay and then hook the lights you install to the relay and voila. I would personally keep them on a separate switch so you are not forced to blind people every time you put it in reverse :-) just my 2 cents.

Either way, should not be too tough.
