Ok, here's what's going on....

I currently have the TRD/Bilstein coil-overs with the Daystar 2.5" blocks and I'm running 33" tires. I've had the lift for almost a year and got it from BZ who had it before and I think Resty was using it for a bit too... so it's pretty worn in. I never had any problems until SnT when I noticed I was really starting to rub against the body mount. It had never ever done that before, even when I would be fully flexed. Now, whenever I fully turn my wheel left, the tire rubs a bit (only when I turn left though... no rub on the right). I'm going to just assume that since these blocks are polyeurathane, they are beginning to wear down. I know the blocks are less than 2.5" because I have a 2.5" lift in the back (no blocks, bigger coils) and it's slightly taller in the back.

Regardless of them problem, I really want to get bigger coil-overs... and this "problem" is the incentive for me to start looking. I've been looking at prices and so far the Icons seem to be the best. I've heard Kings are really good, but they're a little more expensive. Any suggestions on what brand and where to find the best price?

Also, since I have a 2.5" lift in the rear and most of the adjustable coil-overs can go up to 3.5", will it put too much strain on my suspension if the front is slightly taller than the rear? I'm only asking because I think having the front slightly higher would give it a nice prerunner look to it.

I did an alignment when I installed the lift.

And I can't afford UCAs... I can barely afford the coil-overs.
I'm a big fan of sway-a-way. Great customer service. The ride can be stiff but it's personal preference. I would find a used set (of whatever your going to get) and have them rebuilt and have new springs put on if necessary.

Just my opinion.
x2 find a used set, whatever you end up with have 'em rebuilt
I've got 1 used OME strut lying in my garage. It's yours if you want it.
Speaking of SAW...you still got hook ups with them thinking of getting a rear set and need to rebuild my front set?
Yah, I can help you get them. Call me or shoot me a PM sometime and we'll talk about it
How good are the OME coil-overs? They're much cheaper than Icon...
I think I'm just gonna go with the Icons from MetalTech because of the free shipping and 10% off deal. I'm either going with the regular ones or possibly with the reservoirs (depending on my money situation after Christmas).
i bet if you call up Wheelers Offroad and tell them the out the door price, they'll beet MT price. They're in Oregon too so they don't charge tax either. Just sayin'. It's crazy how much some of these guys cut down their price if you ask.
X2 to what Pit said! Call and ask for a discount...it always works for me.
Should I mention NorCal FJs? I feel like that'd be weird calling up and saying "Hey could you beat this price for me please?"

I saw they are selling the Icons for $1600 if you purchase the Camburg UCAs too. That's a pretty good deal. But I don't think I'll need UCAs anytime soon... sure is tempting though.

*** Also, if and when I get these, would anyone like to buy the TRD/Bilstein coil-overs and the Daystar blocks? I don't want to just throw them out. They make a good leveling kit. ***
You don't need to mention Norcal FJs, they work prices for anyone. Just tell them Metal Tech is $X amount including shipping, and ask if they'll beat it. Tell you the truth, I bet Demello can also beat it. Like I said, doesn't hurt to ask.
