I was looking for the discussion about a camera mount that was added a while back. I've been looking for it for a while and can't seem to find it. Anyone remember?
the clamp looks pretty cool and would work well with a roof rack or front bumper with a hoop. i think the main concern with any mount would be whether or not they'll support the weight of your camera over rough terrain. if you're looking for a more versatile solution, check out OverXposed. i like how you can mount any type of head to it and i'm sure you can find a number of things you can use to clamp to any part of your rig. the best thing about it is that you can also use it to set up a remote shot of your rig to add variety to your first-person perspective only video, which gets boring. i've got one (if you want to check it out), but just need to do some more thinking on the how and where i'm going to mount it...need a ball-head mount for the camera as well.
These look like they work. I'm sure they are great on windows, but I was thinking more along the lines of the passenger side dash as a surface. I'll give one of these a shot
Since I can not view taters porn I had time to ponder cup vs. clamp. The more I think about it the clamp seems the way to go. It can be clamped to the Oh Sh!t handles inside as well as rack, bumper, etc. outside.
