Cool, another confused middle age guy! Worried I'd be the only one. I've been there before, just naturally confused now.
:-(
just heard from James, the organizer. the rig count is right around 40! we'll be joined by some friends over at Toyota 120 and i'm sure MTA will be there too. thanks again to, Bossquatch, for finding this opportunity for us last year. it is getting bigger and better each time. i look forward to working the trails with y'all!
Just fund out the the meeting place will be at the old obstacle course at 9:30am for check in. WE will clean until noon and have the BBQ. I am not 100% sure but we may also have the BBQ at the obstacle course and picnic area not in area 5 since it is reserved this weekend..

Here is a link to pirate where the is a poster for the event will all the info:

If anyone with more know how than me can post his over here then please do....
true that! i corresponded with James this evening and the plan for now is to enter through the main gate by the schoolhouse. there will be signs and such to help guide people through to the obstacle course if you are not familiar with the park.
also forgot to mention that you need NOT pay the park fee at the ranger station. you will be given day passes once you get to the campground by the obstacle course.
SO is the gate going to be opened or will we stil have to go to the ranger station to get the gate code??

I will also try to find this answer through MTA..
at this point, James said something will be worked out at the main gate (e.g. left open, someone will be there to let you in, etc.) and there is no need to go to the ranger station...for now.
Do we have an official meet up place and time? I have not been to hollister in a decade and would like to caravan with somone(s) if possible.
i'm not sure who is organizing the caravan. i'm planning to head straight there. you are more than welcome to join me from RWC if you'd like.
Anyone cruising by Alameda that wants to caravan?
I'm down to caravan...
