Hollister Hills SVRA Trail Cleanup - Saturday, October 23
Cleanup is on: Rain or Shine!
Date: Saturday, October 23, 2010
Time: 9:30 AM (lunch will be provided)
Location: Hollister Hills SVRA (meet at the campgrounds near the old obstacle course)
Park fee: Free. Enter through the main gate near the schoolhouse and proceed up to the main campground. You will receive a day pass there.
Comms: CB - 31, FRS 7-31
Please RSVP on the Hollister Hills SVRA Trail Cleanup calendar event by Monday, October 18.
please post up if you wish to volunteer. it will be the same format as last time. if anyone wants to camp (night TBD), please post up as well. James, the organizer, is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones.

I don't remember the address, but it's off of 101 in Morgan Hill by Subway. I forget the name of the road it's on. Someone help me out?
Oh and not sure about going now. Fraternity stuff is popping up this weekend (we're going camping and I have a feeling they're gonna need someone with a truck like mine to help, hahah).

not sure what the caravan meeting time is, but we use the same working frequencies on every run -- CB 31 and FRS/GMRS 7-31.

20 is a good number but I still think that we need more!! Come on NorCal !! Invite your friends, it does not matter what they drive !! All are welcome to help out with the clean up!!
Also looks like we might get some rain before the event..
Does not look like it wil be enough to make everything muddy, but just enough to keep the dust down and the ground nice and tacky..

as a result of the unsettled weather, i'll probably opt out of camping.

Yea the unsettled weather is going to cancel my camping trip, so I'm coming home this weekend and will be there for sure on Saturday. Sorry for going back and forth so much :-)

With the newest info, the event begins at 9:30 at "upper obstacle course." There will be signs.
Working backwards, leave the Subway by roughly 8:30, to get to the hollister gate by roughly 9:30. How long does it take to get from the gate to the upper obstacle course? 15 minutes?
So, I'll be at Subway 8:00, hoping to hook with someone who's been to SVRA before - I haven't. I'll have FRS on 7-31. If I don't see anyone, I'll leave at 8:15, and hook up with you guys at the "upper obstacle course." I'll be the middle aged guy in the black std cab Taco with confused look and the teenaged kid.
