Hello all! I am finally going to cow mountain and I have a couple of questions. First, my girlfriend and I are going wed and thursday (that is our weekend) and I was wondering about the check in. We are planning on going after work on tuesday, is there a limit on check in time? I read on their site that there is no reservations or fees. How do I check in? Or do I even need to? Is there any reason that I wouldnt be able to set up camp that late? I have no problems pitching a tent in the dark... I just dont want to get there at 9 o'clock and have to turn around for some stupid reason. Thanks!

Nope no check in just find a campsite and set up, have fun up there and be safe...
thank you!
No check-in time, first come basis . Camp spots are limited but mid-week you should be fine. Enjoy, post up pictures.
Any suggestions on which camp site I should go for? I was thinking south side.
Thanks for the map. so this is your suggestion for where I should stay?
Just an FYI, i was there a few weeks back and some of the main trails and still VERY tight. (Brush hitting both sides of the rig while going through.) There are a few places they have started to clear out and is much more open though. Don't know if your sensitive to trail pinstripes but just be aware that some are quite narrow right now!
Again, thanks! I already have trail pinstripes, but I am not going out of my way to get more.
I saw on the site that there are fire pits at a different site, can I just build a fire at red mountain?
there are fire pits at red mt. last time we were there rednecks were burning palettes all night and some dumbass kid rode one behind a Honda Odyssey atv got slapped by a concrete waste bin and broke his knee in to 4 pieces
