Hollister Hills SVRA Trail Cleanup - Saturday, October 23

Cleanup is on: Rain or Shine!

hey gangaroo! it's that time again. time to head out to Hollister for some cleanup and wheeling.

Date: Saturday, October 23, 2010

Time: 9:30 AM (lunch will be provided)

Location: Hollister Hills SVRA (meet at the campgrounds near the old obstacle course)

Park fee: Free. Enter through the main gate near the schoolhouse and proceed up to the main campground. You will receive a day pass there.

Comms: CB - 31, FRS 7-31

Please RSVP on the Hollister Hills SVRA Trail Cleanup calendar event by Monday, October 18.

please post up if you wish to volunteer. it will be the same format as last time. if anyone wants to camp (night TBD), please post up as well. James, the organizer, is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones.

probably won't be necessary to take off the shell. if memory serves me right, the largest items found were over near the Tank Traps, which we won't be covering. most of us found a ton of bottles, cans and disposable goggle lenses. my bag was about 1/4 full.

It also depends on how far you want to go.. Last year BZ found a coffee can full of used oil and he went way up the hill to find it.....

must've been a big coffee can if it would require the shell off a Taco. j/k

which hill did he climb? i remember seeing leaf springs in the pile...i think that was the biggest piece of garbage i saw. oh, wait, we did find that flopped Jeep off-trail.
