the sPOD Group Buy is on! below, please find bulk discount pricing. the shipping cost beneath the pricing is for the one-time bulk shipment to NorCal and will be distributed evenly amongst all of the NorCal orders. those of you in SoCal will not incur shipping costs, but will have to designate one person who will be able to pick up the bulk order from sPOD's HQ. this person will be responsible for the distribution of units as well.

FAQs

Q: I want a unit without the LVCO (low voltage cut off). If I am the only one who wants that configuration out of 20 orders, do I still qualify for the $276.00 price?

A: Yes. The bulk order is for total units and the discount will be spread across all kits with or without the LVCO option.

Q: I'm in NorCal. Will I be splitting the shipping cost amongst other NorCalers?

A: Yes. For example, 10 NorCalers and 10 SoCalers go in on the Group Buy. NorCal will incur the shipping cost for the bulk shipping rate of 10 units or $110.00. At $11.00 each, you are still saving $4.50 in shipping per unit.

Q: What if I want different colored light switches?

A: You will have to make that request when you place the order.

Q: How and when do I pay?

A: Payments can be made beginning the week before the Group Buy closes. Payment information will be sent via PM and can be made via PayPal or check. The Group Buy order will not be processed until all payments have been received.

Q: How long will it take to receive my sPOD unit after the Group Buy closes?

A: It generally takes up to 5-6 working days for buys up to 19 units and 6-14 working days for orders of 20-30+ units.

Q: I live in NorCal, but won't be able to pick up my kit in Alameda or won't be joining in on any trail runs or socials. Do I still have to pay double shipping (bulk shipping to Alameda and shipping to my home)?

A: Unfortunately, yes. Although members of NorCal FJs make every effort to make things convenient by setting up meeting times after a trail run or social, it is ultimately your responsibility to pay for additional shipping to your home if you cannot make arrangements to have someone pick up the kit for you.

Q: Is sales tax included in the group buy pricing chart?

A: No. Additional sales tax of 9.75% (LA County Sales Tax) will be added to the order.

Q: Can I get it without the switch panel?

A: The sPOD kit for the FJ does not come with a switch panel since the FJ already has switch ports in the center console and near the steering column.

Bump! 6 More people and we all save $80 off retail...
here are the total cost savings. someone correct me if my math is off:

Retail (w/LVCO): $370.00
Tax (9.75% - LA County): $36.08
Total: $406.08
Shipping: $15.50
Grand Total: $421.58

Group Buy (at 20 units with LVCO): $296.00
Tax (9.75% - LA County): $28.86
Total: $324.86
Shipping ($165.00 split 20 ways): $8.25
Grand Total: $333.11

Difference: $88.47
If gringo delivers to us at High Sierra, the difference becomes: $96.72
Not paying for shipping = Awesome!!!!!
=)
After installing the sPOD I didn't know I had so much wires I've used. After removing all wires the engine bay looked so damn clean and organized.

Thanks sPOD for making my wirings setup so much easier..
I don't need one but to help the cause put me down for one.
I'll keep it for anyone who missed the GB and sell at my cost.
If you get 21 please take me off the list.
awesome...thanks, SoFo! i'll be sure to take you off the list if we reach 21.
Ditto what Son of ** said. Add me. If you get to 22, take us both off.
only 13 more days left! can we get five more?
Come people lets get 5 more to get the bigger discount !!
some folks should just order two!!! Think of all the techno-wizardry you could have neatly switched! GOGO final five!
Since we are on the sPOD thread...would it be possible to create a manual lock out of the winch through sPOD? I really like the idea of not having any power go to the winch unless i want it there.

....I'm trying to avoid the horror story of someone un-spooling your winch cable, pulling it over your FJ, hooking it up to the rear tow hook and then hot wiring the winch control....end result being very very very bad.....
I am wondering how did you come with this idea? Why would you even think to do such thing to your FJ ?
