Ant...you ought to wait for an Install Day...there's going to be one in Sac on the 11th of September. i believe there may be another in late October or possibly November as well.
if you prefer to have the installation warrantied through a professional installer, then i wouldn't really know who the best would be. personally, i'd go with a 3" lift.
Thanks for all the info!and I'm looking for more of a shop so I could get a warrenty I would most likely want to get it done in Sacramento.and as far as the lift I'm pretty sure im going to go with the ome 3" lift.
Warranties are over rated IMHO.
Any reputable manufacturer is going to stand behind their parts so all you're really getting is a warranty on labor.
You have to remember that a lot of people who work in places that may do installs are not the highest paid or the brightest bulbs on the tree so, how many corners are they gonna cut and how much are they really gonna care if one install is any better than the next? It's all about getting jobs thru the shop, making it till Friday and getting the pay check.
I would recommend buying the parts and enlisting some of us who have had first hand experience not only installing but how things work on and off the trails and learning A LOT about your truck, so, when something does break, and it will, you have the knowledge to do something to put things back together to at least get you off the trail and maybe even back home. Getting towed off a trail is expensive and in not covered under any warranty.
That way you'll not only get to meet some of us ultra cool folks but with the money you save on installation you can buy some cool extra goodies like the BozTec rear diff skid:-)
