FAQs

Q: I want a unit without the LVCO (low voltage cut off). If I am the only one who wants that configuration out of 20 orders, do I still qualify for the $276.00 price?

A: Yes. The bulk order is for total units and the discount will be spread across all kits with or without the LVCO option.

Q: I'm in NorCal. Will I be splitting the shipping cost amongst other NorCalers?

A: Yes. For example, 10 NorCalers and 10 SoCalers go in on the Group Buy. NorCal will incur the shipping cost for the bulk shipping rate of 10 units or $110.00. At $11.00 each, you are still saving $4.50 in shipping per unit.

Q: What if I want different colored light switches?

A: You will have to make that request when you place the order.

Q: How and when do I pay?

A: Payments can be made beginning the week before the Group Buy closes. Payment information will be sent via PM and can be made via PayPal or check. The Group Buy order will not be processed until all payments have been received.

Q: How long will it take to receive my sPOD unit after the Group Buy closes?

A: It generally takes up to 5-6 working days for buys up to 19 units and 6-14 working days for orders of 20-30+ units.

Q: I live in NorCal, but won't be able to pick up my kit in Alameda or won't be joining in on any trail runs or socials. Do I still have to pay double shipping (bulk shipping to Alameda and shipping to my home)?

A: Unfortunately, yes. Although members of NorCal FJs make every effort to make things convenient by setting up meeting times after a trail run or social, it is ultimately your responsibility to pay for additional shipping to your home if you cannot make arrangements to have someone pick up the kit for you.

Q: Is sales tax included in the group buy pricing chart?

A: No. Additional sales tax of 9.75% (LA County Sales Tax) will be added to the order.

Q: Can I get it without the switch panel?

A: The sPOD kit for the FJ does not come with a switch panel since the FJ already has switch ports in the center console and near the steering column.

now, if you could pick them up down south (sPOD HQ) and bring them up north with ya, i'd say that'd be a pretty good offer, but i doubt you'd be able to fit all of the units in your truck with your other gear. LOL
think they would all fit in the backs seats? those will be empty when I go and I dont think the boxes are that big.

Alameda is is 20 mins away from me and it won't be any effort on my part, I can definitely deliver them to where ever the meet point is for high sierra, unless anything else in mind
i don't foresee any issue getting the units to their rightful owners once they are delivered to Alameda...i was thinking that if you could pick them up in SoCal (where they will originate) and bring them up with you to the High Sierra run you could save the NorCalers shipping! LOL

that being said, i'm not sure if they will be ready to go by the High Sierra trip depending on how many we end up ordering.
Steve - where are they going to originate? is it Santa Clarita like we talked about at AllCal ?
yes.
Were located in Castaic, right at the base of the Grapevine.
Hey Josh!

yeah that's not a problem, I can pick them up in castaic on my way up if they are ready and just cut over to isabella up the 395 to mammoth
That would work, we'll have to see how it pans out. I'll be able to give a definite time frame as we get closer. If you guys want to find a ride for the units it will save you the shipping cost.
OK so I am in..

SO I just want to be sure that if I have the Dirty Parts second battery kit then I DO NOT have to have the LVCO correct??

Woudl the only reason for not having the LVCO in this configuration be because you would have a second battery to start the car from..

If that sis the case please put me down for a non LVCO unit..
Ok I found the post I was looking for..

Plese put me down for a S-Pod unit with LVCO.. Seems like a good way to go just to be sure..
If you have a second battery that is independent from your primary you would not need the LVCO, instead we have a in-line fuse that would replace it.
Ok so with the second battery the LVCO would be overkill ??

I was just thinking it would be a good thing to have just incase (incase of what I have not idea).. SO Josh what would you recomend if I have a dual battery set up LVCO or No LVCO...

Thanks in advance..
