My fiance and I decided to check out Hollister for a last minute camping trip with our new FJ and just so happens NorCal FJ was having an event there. This morning we went to check out all the FJ's for after market inspiration. We met a guy who told us what NCFJ was all about and decided it might be cool to join. After a little amateur off roading we came across a beautiful black FJ with all sorts of cool modifications...One tire up on a rock, the other a few inches off the ground. I took a couple pics and asked if he had hit up truck hill yet (we definitely were not going to attempt it quite yet.) He wanted to check it out so we led the way....3/4 of the way up the hill he stopped due to the fact that the wheel appeared to be completely off the axle. I remembered that the guy we met at the FJ camp site had pointed out some expert off roaders so we went to find them in hopes that they could help. When we found them we told them the situation and they all jumped up eager to help. They ultimately got the FJ off the hill and after a few hours had the thing up and running so he could at least make it somewhere for a permanent fix. The wheel rod was literally bent to a perfect 90 degree angle. I can't even believe they were able to do that. I have never seen so many people so willing to help another human being for nothing in return. This whole experience today sold me on joining NorCal FJ not only to have some fun and adventure, but even more so to meet some genuinely amazing people!! Look forward to meeting more great people soon!!!! ~Heather and Chris
