AllCal 2010: July 30-August 01

this year, the 2nd Annual AllCal Meet will be held in Northern California at Hollister Hills SVRA. we moved the NorCal edition into the middle of summer because we plan on changing venues every other year and we need to make sure the snow has all melted (snow still blocks most of the popular trails in the Sierras).
Date: Friday, July 30 - Sunday, August 01, 2010
Location: Hollister Hills SVRA (Camping at Area 5 in Hollister Hills SVRA)
Registration fee: $30.00 per vehicle.
your registration fee will include:
* admission for one vehicle into Area 5 (base camp)
* 3 days admission to the park
* 2 nights camping
* 1 T-shirt
* 2 meal tickets for the Saturday Night BBQ sponsored by BozTec
* 1 prize drawing ticket
* donations will be accepted for additional t-shirts, prize drawing tickets and meal tickets.

Hollister Hills SVRA provides numerous trails of all levels as well as two obstacle courses. In addition, the park has a separate, much larger trail system for motorcycles and ATVs. The Area 5 group campground can accommodate over 100 vehicles. It has flushing toilets, hot showers, fire pits and a stage. These facilities were made possible by our friends at the local TLCA chapter, Mountain Transit Authority.

that gate will eventually be closed and locked, but that does not mean you won't be able to get back in. 8:00 PM should be fine...there should be an attendant at the gate until about that time.
if you arrive after that, you may have to park outside the gate and walk in to get someone's attention, but we'll probably hear/see you as you drive by. please do not honk your horn. someone will let you in within a couple minutes if you are spotted.

We will be heading out of Clovis about 1 p.m. on Friday hoping to be there around four. We are going to take Panoche Road over to Hollister, it sounds like an interesting drive. We are so looking forward to this that we got all packed Wednesday! Wooohooo did we hear Jello shots! Made some of those last night, but also enjoyed a few! Gonna have to make some more tonight!

I am planning to leave Friday evening after work (assuming I get around to pack tonight).. I think this means sitting in 101 traffic for awhile, hopefully I can make it before dark!

just pack what you need to camp, plus food and beverage for all meals outside of Saturday night's BBQ sponsored by BozTec. also, they do have showers, so bring a towel and shower slippers if you so choose.
