FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hi all, NekGuda aka Ken Sickels here to introduce myself to hopefully what will be many new friends. I found this group after stumbling across a post for the AllCal Meet. I am hoping the wife and I can make it! It is great to find a group who is a little more local to me, and one that we can get out on the trails with. A little background.... I finally came to my senses and picked up my Army Green FJ in December and I cannot believe I waited so long! These past few months have been so much fun learning just how capable these trucks are. However, I am still very new to all this (first 4x4) and look forward to learning much from you all as well as joining you on a few runs. Ok now let the fun begin!

you got it wrong, you don't get scratches following Resty, you get dents, lol
If you do not want scratches than do not take it off pavement.. Its that simple...

Hate to be blunt but here are times while out ont the trail and its either get scratches or fall off the cliff. I will take the scratches...

I am going to lead a newb run and you will hear the same at the driver meeting.. So go outside and get some sticks and run them down the side and just get ti over with.. hahahaha
yeah scratches come with trails....trust me...i went and did the bear valley loop trail up off of hwy 89 and u want to talk bout brushes...WOW....it was scratching so bad....couldnt bare to listen to it so i turned up the stereo and soldiered on.....it also helps my brother works at body shop and can buff out the scratches =)
To me the scratches are like a badge of honor, it says to everyone that you are not a poseur. I actually just got my first scratches just the other day up at Buck Rock OHV Trail in the Sequoia National Forest. A fun and not real technical trail, but it is narrow in places. The first one was the worst after that I was having too much fun to even notice the rest of them!
Welcome bro....dont worry bout being new, im new myself and this is THE group the hang out with...good bunch of guys and gals
I'm "GREEN" w/ envy, (ha ha) would love to trade my all black diamond in for the green, it would match my uniform. lol.

p.s welcome
Thank you all for the great welcome! I really love the green too! I was originally looking at a trail edition, but when I saw a green one online I had to have it. We are making plans now to see if we can get out to AllCal. Looking forward to meeting all of you and getting out on the trails.
