FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Howdy. My name's Carl. Signed up about a month ago, so figured it was about damned time I introduced myself. Picked up my 2007 BC FJ about six weeks back after our 87 4Runner gave up the ghost after 300k. The FJ had low miles, appeared almost new, didn't look like it'd ever been off road, and had no mods. So, now I've got to spend billions on all the upgrades I want/need. Altough my head hurts after reading all the opinions on the FJ Forum about what's best/worst for each application. However, my rigs already screaming to be taken offroad, so I'm up for any trip that the crappy stock tires can handle until new shoes are purchased. Like to attend next meet & greet to check out as many ride upgrades as possible & get ideas for mine. Was out on business for your last one. Or, like to attend an install gathering to see how things are, hopefully, properly done. I'll earn my keep by being the one you tell "hold the damn part in place so we can attach it bone weed!". Mostly looking foward to getting my FJ as offroad worthy as soon as possible & joining folks on as many offroad trips as possible. Keep in mind I'm just an old dude who might not be as quick on the trails as some of you.

Regards,

Carl

Welcome Carl
Keep an eye out for upcoming Meet n Greets and trail runs on the forum and the trail planner.
Thanks Mrs. Bozly. Looking foward to it.
You'll be great Carl!

Come on out and have some fun with us, we always have a ball and love beer!!!
Suppose that means I need to take beer orders since I'm a newbie. Does Two Buck Chuck make beer?
Welcome Carl! Looking forward to meeting ya. Quite a few mod addicts here so you can definitely can check out the options at one of the get togethers.
Welcome to the sit..

Let the madness begin......
Welcome. Look forward to meeting you.
Welcome Carl. Sounds like you'll fit in just fine. (maybe except for the BC)
Welcome to the Site Carl! I'd be happy to help you out with your build, as I'm the wrench for hire around here, feel free to gimme a call, we can grab a beer at BozTec and kick a few ideas around to see which way to go with your Mods

Cheers,

Bz
Thanks for the offer Bz. Just installed sliders & have a couple of interior toys on the way. Like to discuss a suspension upgrade (thought my decision would be easy until I started reading through the FJ forum), since I have a big need to change tires from stock to something that will hold on to the trails. Let me know how/when/where we can meet up.

Later,
