Frank Raines OHV Run? (3/27)
A buddy of mine with an old Chevy crawler and I are planning on possibly going to the Frank Raines OHV Park this Saturday if anyone is interested in joining us.
It's on the west side of Stanislaus County (right next to Patterson). My buddy knows more about it than I do so I can't really answer any questions regarding it.
He gave me a few links about the park though:
If we don't end up there, we will probably just go to Prairie City. But let me know if you are interested in going! The skill level ranges around that of Hollister with a few more difficult areas.

Frank Raines is nowhere near SF, unless you are comparing distances to Sacto. It is the home to many a muddy FJ and Bz's infamous OOPS incident.

I was just going by what was written on the website I read.
Oops, I misread it. It said the outskirts of the Bay Area and mentioned something about SF but it wasn't the location being near it. My bad.

Well me and my buddy will be heading out from Stockton, so you are probably better off meeting us there. And I have no clue how to get there. I'm just following my buddy.

FWIW, I think FR is too dangerous and I would never go there again.
At least one couple died there in a roll-over not too long ago. BZ got stuck and nearly had a roll-over himself, when a group of us went there a year or so ago. IMHO, it's mainly for bikes, ATVs, off-road buggies and Jeeps NOT full-sized top heavy rigs like FJs. BTW, I took my Jeep there which was able to handle hills the FJs could or would not.
Lots of ruts, steep hills and hard pack. So, if you do go there, be careful.
