opps just read the rest of the crazyness yup that's him! I still want to find a way to keep the tower shorter and I don't mind popping holes in the FJ to make the control arms longer
Look at how clean that rear axle is.
From the thread, I think he was setting it up for a show. Later he posted some high-speed desert "racing" videos. It is very hard to understand the speed from the video and how rough the terrain was for real; surely having to dedicate most the cargo area for the suspensions... would not allow too much space for the camping gear :)
well if it is a "must have" one must learn to pack light i guess..... but really that is not an ideal set-up for most, just the speed freaks
Yeah these lists suck.

Mine:
1) Remove skid, sand & paint, sand & paint chassis, sliders and rear axle.
2) Replace tie-rods
3) Replace lower front control arms and ball joints, bolts an alignment cam bolts
4) Get custom coilovers, set front and get adjustment.
5) Axles and transfer oil top up/check
6) Check front CVs and replace if needs be
7) Major cleaning inside and out, wax, etc.

Other outstanding items will be front fenders fix trimming, ham radio face plate remount, replace GPS clock battery,
My list:
1) install these

2) put on new tires
3) install cb radio
