Hey All,

Can anyone recommend a local shop to do the mount chop? Pictures of your completed chop would be very helpful!

Thanks,
Mark.

I haven't done it to mine but I've welded a couple up for others, it's really no big deal to do.

Depending on your time frame, maybe we could do it at my shop, I'm planning on an install day in the near future and with all the know how we have in the area it would be no problem.
There's no rush. I just added a winch, so the extra weight caused some sag, leading to just a tiny bit of rub at full lock while braking (eg. pull into driveway, parking space, etc). Short-term fix is to adjust the coilovers back up and realign. Long term, I'm interested in a wider stance to offset the lift (Spidertrax?), so I'll need to get the chop done for that. Got a lot planned for the next 2 months (work and vacation travel), but would love to get it done during an install day :)

Thanks,
Mark.
I have going to ask the same question. I need a chop too.
Hey Can I join that group...I mean I'm about to get new tires soon. So if I can might as well do the chop.
I'll look at an install/chop date in the near future and we'll have a chop party.

Watch for a new thread coming soon once we figure out our schedule.
Seems you guys have it figured out, but just for reference for folks in San Jose area. Troy at Superior 4wheeldrive in San Jose does a really good job working on FJC, I had him do a lot of welding type work on my truck (since my metal work skill suck). He also does installations, etc of various types of things like dual gas tanks, suspensions, etc.

His prices were very reasonable last time I used him.
Bozly and I just finished installing his new bumper today and were talking about how many folks want the body mount chop.

Come One and All, First come First served line forms to the left....

lets do it
I am down to help... Just let me know when
Let's define a procedure, I'll cut the plates to weld on and we'll figure out a day to chop and weld.

Who knows the best way to do the chop?

I've never done it but it looks straight forward.
That's the Idea but the execution is a bit off.

Boz and I have done this before and I think the results were better
I too think this is a little excessive, there's a simpler way that's not near as involved.
