What is your favourite place for camping gear

Hi guys, what do you recommend to buy camping gear and clothing? I tend to buy online to not pay sales tax. So far I've used amazon.com and backcountry.com, should I check other sites?

Cabelas is awesome! If you can ever make it down to their store near Reno I would definitly do that! Great firearm selection too!

rei has several locations in the bay area, sports basement in sf have good sales also

I got most of my camping stuff online from sierra trading post and campmor... then sometimes cabelas, sometimes REI

Hands down, Sportsman's Warehouse.

Also, expedition exchange has some cool stuff, but not like SW.

Do you shop at their store in Rocklin? They do not offer an online catalog...

Hey I have checked out Redwood Trading Post and it is excellent! They have tons of stuff and the prices are better than REI (of course, at REI stores they have almost nothing for camping in this season, so I compared against REI's website).

OK, don't laugh too hard, WalMart. I find the exact same thing at REI for 50% more sometimes. Coolers, LED lights etc. I like Mt.View Surplus on El Camino. Great place for hats and knifes and stoves too.
