FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hi I finally went to have my wheels aligned and have my spare tire fixed (you remember I had a flat tire):

Now, it seems the cut is a little bit too wide and the guy at Les Schwabs did not want to fix it. Of course I would like to change all my tires and rims, but not now, and I only have 14k miles on those :)

Later I will take a picture of the inside of the tire.

Now what are my options? I could somewhat patch it and keep it as a spare... knowing it may be weak. Buy a new "stock" tire (I had the off road package anyway) and live with it. Just two days before the run to High Sierra...

Be safe and buy a new tire.
Hmm, what size tires are you running? Cypik is giving away 1 spare tire on here. You should contact him if your size matches.
talk to Bz, I have seen a tire in his yard today.
The tires that I have are the stock ones found in the "offroad package":
BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A
P265/75 R16
I have a 5 stock tires I can sell you...:-) been kept in garage no sunshine on them and been on top of a table, 1 is brand new..
If the cut is bad I would not trust a patch job. You go offroad by yourself in the desert and you want to have a good quality spare, so buy a new tire.
Umm try shoe goo, spit, and some SLIME an you'll be just fine! JK
that sucks just try the previous reqcs.
