nice! judging by the lighting, it looks like you guys breezed through relatively quickly.
3 hours start to finish. :). We motored through at a pretty good pace.
I figured out what the front end noise was... LOL! The lower knuckle bearing disintegrated.

Here is a quick video of the knuckle movement. It should NOT move at all. :)
Photobucket

Lower bearing cage completed destroyed...

Lower bearing caps destroyed...

All those spots are little pieces of metal I dug out of the knuckle...

WOW thats like on trail adjustable camber !!! hehehehe

Thank god you had a trailer and did not have to drive it..
LOL! I figure not bad for 2 years of hard wheeling. I had this feeling I was going to need the trailer this weekend. I heard the noise last weekend wheeling and opted not to do anything about it. I've got spare bearings that I carry with me, so I should have it back together in a day or so. I might order the new 25mm Marlin bearings and caps as a quick upgrade in strength.
Yeah you can never go wrong with Marlin....
yowza...that's some ugly stuff. thanks for documenting it Sol!
I had a great time wheeling with everyone.

Sol, good to see you again. I'm glad you trailered up after seeing that knuckle and bearing.
It was nice to see everyone again and I had so much fun wheeling.

Sol, good thing you brought your trailer with you and was able to get your rig home and start working on it.
BTW. Thansk for the infor about the fender well. and once I got home on Sunday I started to worked on the front fender well and bought the water proof sellant bent that sharp area a bit more till it looked like it was ment to look like a part of the whole fender well and sprayed it..
looks like I missed out, glad to see you have redeemed yourself by getting your truck dirty. ;-)

what is the fender well info? pics please.
His 35" tires were rubbing in the fender wells and chewing the tires up a little. Sol suggested to pound in the welded seams that were causing problems and seal it with some kind of sealer.
