just updated on your thread. yes, Slickrock and Deer Valley are near Bear Valley Ski Resort just west of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. i'll update the post soon with GPS coordinates, tentative schedule and such.
Here's a couple GPS log files to help out, base camp was at Sand Flat CG, N38 24.6, W120 04.9
Slickrock Trail (is just the trail), Deer Valley log is for the full trip from Red Lake on Hwy 88 all the way to Hwy 4.
You can also download the GPS waypoints at www.funtreks.com, under GPS downloads go down to the Northern Cal section, #26 is DeerValley, #27 is Corral Hollow, #28 is Slick Rock.

Steve,
The trail begins or ends at Blue lakes. Kinda like red lake though.
I ran Slickrock and part of Deer Valley on sunday with NorCal TTORA. Here is the picture thread Slickrock 6-09
nice pics KRT! looks like you guys ran it south to north towards Lake Alpine?
Yes we started on the south side. The ladder will be a PITA to climb with stock rigs like my Taco. I was on my sliders all day.
cool, we were thinking about starting on that side on our next run there. nice Taco btw.
Count me IN! LOVE this run!
Heading up there tomorrow and hopefully take some pics.
YEAH Angry Barber! You've been missed.

You dont have any more of that hooch you could bring, do ya :)
