Is this a joke or what - required MPG

How can a government set limits on the MPGs of a vehicle? Sure I'd like the FJ to do 40+MPG but I wouldn't like a vehicle that has to be crippled down to meet law requirements

This is CAFE (Corporate Average Fuel Economy).
This just means for every FJ (or Tundra, Landcruiser, etc.) you sell, you need to sell 5 Prius's, or 8 Yaris's.

They should offer the Yaris like a pizza deal: Buy one loaded 4x4 FJ and get a Yaris for free!
(this would also be helpful for morons that believe in carbon credits (Carb-tards), after all you can only drive one at a time.)

Yeah I can confirm that, changing the size of the tires is forbidden, the car comes with a booklet with the size of the tires and police checks if you have changed them etc

To my knowledge it is also forbidden to have lifts and so on (I've never seen a lift in europe)

Not to mention an FJ in Italy costs 47kEUR + fees (and it is VERY rare, I know only one guy that has one)

On top of this, gasoline costs something like 8-10USD per gallon.
