FJ Cruisers of Northern California
I read this is not meant to be an true off-road, but more a millenial multi-use car. A smaller less powerful engine, and lower ground clearance. Therefore not a replacement for the FJ. that's a good thing as far as I am concerned.
You thinking about getting one Steve? :)
What I like about it are the tech mods that are new; Removable side panels, two way tailgate ,removable stereo, plugins. Did you see the promo vid? Coolness really, lots of new mods.
I think it is great competition for the likes of the Ford Escape and the Jeep Cherokee in the $24k market.
It may garner aftermarket support to some extent depending on how well it sells but its defo aimed at the 20s and 30s crowd. With Toyota backing it should be very reliable (Tekata air bags excluded :) )
I am not thinking about buying one for me but my son gets his permit in 6 months.
Actually he likes Tacoma's but I bet he would like one of these better!!!!
So thats the thinking at Toyota, but how about this instead: fj-40-cruiser-.html
Your son would be so cool (or whatever word is in vogue now) in this! What a lucky kid to have a dad like you. wish I was 20 something again, but still love cruisin in my FJ.
////but still love cruisin in my FJ.////
10-4 that.
