FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Hey any of you guys ever go out mickey mousing around at Folsom Lake off Oak Pointe area? I know its not a super technical area, but I was out yesterday and it sure is fun to hit the area when you can't get out of town for some proper trail runs or make it out to Prairie City. Granted I am a noobie to the 4x4 world and just picked up my stock FJ in February, but I had a blast. You can easily spend a few hours out there on the sand, or some rocks. Definitely helps if you have an annual pass that way you don't have to pay the $10 entrance fee.

No I have a voodoo blue rig with black plasticity wheels.
Ah, ok. I'm there almost every sunday fishing off Doton Point. Saw a silver FJC, thought it was you.
That's cool. All the times I've ever gone fishing at Folsom Lake I never caught anything but sunfish. I used to go fishing out in the Delta, Cammanche, Pardee, Amador, the Mokuleme and have great luck, but nothing at Folsom. If I ever get stuck out there I know where to go searching for help. What are you driving?
Folsom is hit and miss for me as well. Primarily go for the fact I can drive down to the water. The wife and dog plays in the water while I BBQ/fish/relax. Used to go to Pardee a lot as well. I moved to be closer to Pardee, Camanche, Amador, lol. I drive a green LX450, usually flying my orange NorcalFJ flag on my CB antenna...
I went with Hankook DynaPro MT, 295/75/16. After these ware down, I'm going to a 315/75/16 since I will have a lift sooner than later.
