FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Howdy All!!

Been lurking for a while now and thought I would introduce myself. The pic is my new (to me) 2010 AT. I recently finished blacking out the lower points, door handles and tire cover, which has been an appetizer for more projects on this fun vehicle.

My first 4x4 was a '66 Scout, running 32s, that I loved to slam around as a teen. Then I had an '82 Bronco that had 4" lift, running 35s, that got all the ladies but not because of the off-road. ;p

Then marriage and kids kicked in and I did my best to stay driving a descent 4x4 with the Ford F250HDs. Went through 3 of those and then settled on a Ford Excursion with no lift for the family grocery-getter. My wife and I had a fun adventure in her RAV4 several years ago on Marshall Pass(I think), Colorado, on a trail with no real clearance, but we managed.

So, as I am researching a leveling kit and probably 2.5" to 3" lift and the "who knows what in the future" project build, I really appreciate all that have contributed to this forum.

Enjoying my new FJ is infectious right now. Tinkering and planning projects for it are all I can think about about. Yep the FJ  "bug" bit hard HERE!

Thank you and I look forward to meet'in you'all.

Welcome Ryan. The bug indeed. I was counting every mod I have done in the past 8 years, big and small while on a long drive home the other day and I just today thought of number 82.

Welcome and hope to see you on the trails soon.

Steve Hope.

Howdy from Yosemite.  Clean looking FJ, enjoy it!

Welcome ryan. Hope to go wheelin' with you one day!

Welcome from a recent new-comer as well.

Welcome to NCFJ. Careful of that bug... it's known to cause damage to your wallet ;)

You know,  that stoke you are feeling just gets better when you take your rig out and see what they are capable of.  I have a bit over 210,000 miles on mine and it is ready for it's next excursion.

Remember to wave!

Welcome to NorCalFjs! I can't wait to see what you have planed there.
