FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Sup Fellas!
Just bought a new FJ during Christmas Eve...
I have a newb question here...I'll be ordering a OME 3 inch suspension and was wondering if I should go heavy duty suspension..I'll be adding a metal tech winch bumper with the metal tech rear matching bumper...It's not my daily driver either and was wondering if heavy duty suspension is the way to go? I'll be adding skid plates also...
Thanks

First off welcome to the group! As far as the heavy OME I have been running it for about four years now, and with all you plan to add I would definitely go with it.
Thanks for the reply everyone!..Yes I have decided on the heavy duty OME suspension..Getting them installed on Wednesday with new 16x8 method rims with 305/70r16 BFG Mud KM2..Will keep you guys posted on my upgrades...looking at front bumpers...still really don't know what to get...Since Demello seems to be out of stock of the rally style bumpers I was also interested in the flap top bumper and metal tech winch mount..
Just picked up my FJ with from Swat Customs...picture above
Added new 16x8 Method rims no spacers needed..

Welcome
As someone that runs the OME suspension unless you plan to weight down the rear with a lot of cargo use the OME mediums in the back. I started with the OME heavys all the way around and it was a horrible ride that beat me up.
I am running heavys up front since I have a ARB bullbar and winch which weighs a million pounds and mediums in the rear and even loaded down with gear I get little to no sag. Since that metaltech bumper is so light I would think about mediums instead of the heavys you won't get beat up from the harsh ride on the road and off road.
