Hello All,

I've seen this thread on other forums, looks like fun...I'll get it started.

I drove my rig to work (first time I've had it out in a few weeks).  Took it in for a wash..

Blu, what size tires are you running?

LT315/70R17 Pro Comp AT

LT315/70R17 mine rub on front body mount... did your wheel spacers help with that or did you trim yours?

Ah ok, no wonder they look huge.

I'm running 285's on mine. I don't have any wheel spacers either. Just running 2.5" with my ICON's.

Mounted my hi Jack with the Demello mounts.  A couple of questions for you experts:

How do you keep the wing nuts from loosening and flying off while you are on the trail?

What is the black plate that is attached to the top of the jack?  came with it but no instructions . . .

Lock washers should keep the wing nuts in place.

Maybe a bit of black electrical tape on the threads wouldn't hurt, for extra security? Assuming you don't intend to use the jack except in emergencies...

Man, I must have left my brain on the plane this weekend. Lockwashers! what a novel idea.  Think I'll get some big flat washers and lock washers. I am only planning on mounting the jack for off road trips but might put some tape on to keep the threads clean anyway.

1/2 flat and lock washers and a couple of taps with the dead blow hammer to make damn sure... you'll have to give them a couple of taps with the same to loosen but you've probably have one in your gear anyway.

I too got a Hi-Lift Jack this last weekend.

Nice! I like the hefty thumb screws on your mounts. Much beefier than the one's I got.

What is the plate at the top of the jack for?

so that i can hook a chain or rope to help pull someone or something. or push apart something. my jack is the X-tream Hi-Lift.
