With the 17mm six-point deep socket, you can pop those washers with your eyes closed.
Not an easy install, my hands are too big to install the stud nuts, had my 12 year old son do that. And notice the hex head bolt, t.he supplied flat head was too short to meet the fastener. Took 45 minutes all told. The metal retainer ring could not be re-installed because the lock and the lower fastener block it. No biggie, works fine. I may have to change the hardware to Rivnuts to make it last, I have a feeling the nuts may come loose, even though I double-nutted them.

well - it was worth the work - looks great!
I have to say that I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product. The SS fastener that screws into a fahnstock nut is not long enough to work, I had to use a hex head 1/4-20 X 1 inch bolt( visible in bottom right) The company did not respond to emails to supply a longer socket flat head ss screw. So I have to find that myself. Local company showing no support. Product otherwise is fine but bad support on obvious problem.

Finished the Blackout on bumpers, installed new Rigid Industries Fog/Driving Lights, and install NestahEdition FM antenna mod
Want to say thank you again to Dseven, Slow, and NestahEdition for getting me through the bumper removal....
Before
After
Next weekend, blackout Mirrors, Door Handles, Add tow hitch, and sound proof doors
Lookin' good, Josh!
It'll look good with a hood decal too! Plasti-Dip is your friend haha
Looks good with Bz's bumper! Just get a winch in there haha. Just saying Plasti-Dip is 'easily' removable just in case he doesn't like it. I've had the dip on my truck for 3+ years with minimal issues.
Thanks!
Yeah, I considered the pastidip, but when I go out, I go places where the trails are half as wide as my FJ. lol!
Cow mountain cost me an entire tube of ScratchX and a days workout with the buffer. Not sure how plastidip holds up under tree branches.
Yes, I DO need a winch. And fog lights, and my 2 remaining roof lights, and a spare rim... and..... lol
It works pretty well for me haha, yea I've heard of the horrors at Cow Mountain. Just found out about these on Instagram the other day: http://www.ohvlights.com they seem to be pretty good quality plus lumen count is impressive for the price.
