Nice! I like those. Maybe I'll look into these for the back of my roof rack. Already have the spots for the rounds up top. They are HIDs.
Or maybe the bumper..... Hmmm.... lol.
Looks great! - what do you mean you are soundproofing doors? Doesn't it come with any factory dampening material? if not, then that is definitely something I want to do.
This thread might be interesting.....
Thanks for the link - this is something I am totally interested in doing. I am an audiophile. Won't use an Ipod, have a FiIo X3 with high res files for the car. I haven't found the FJ to be too bad though, better than my lexus RX300. Also, Just drove a prius to Seattle with my GF, noisiest car I have ever been in. I guess Toyota has no interest in making quiet cars.
right on - 24 bit is where it is at!
I am not as ambitious as that but i did Dynamat the doors when i did my speakers and noticed an improvement in road noise and obviously speaker performance.
It has really done the trick for my rig, the stereo is down to 20 from 41 while I a rolling down there road, and seems just as loud coming from the speakers.
Hey Drew, there is a little bit of sound deading material but I wanted some more. I got it put in this past weekend when I had the door panels off to swtich out to black Mirrors, I got the door kit from Dyanmat and it work great. It is low profile so it didn't interfer with the panel clips or anything. I was in a rush to get it donw so I didn't grab any shots of it with the panel off.
Nice sliders! I also had some of the grip tape strips the stuff from from 3M on my sliders but after several trips to Hollister dirt started to make it's way under the edges and it started lifting and that was all she wrote.
I got to drive my truck to work for the first time today in 2 months. I've gone through 3 rear differentials in the last 1 1/2 years. I decided it was time for a major fix. I called Currey Enterprizes in Corona California and ordered a Dana 60 Rock Jock reverse cut high pinion rear axle 3" wider than stock. reinforced housing built in skid plates. It's sweet. So, YES, it's fixed.
