Hello All,

I've seen this thread on other forums, looks like fun...I'll get it started.

I drove my rig to work (first time I've had it out in a few weeks).  Took it in for a wash..

Installed new tires: BF Goodrich 285/75R16 KM2

we always love tire porn, Pictures or it didn't happen!

AVS "Ventivisors" (major engineering project, I know!). The quality is so-so (cut is a bit rough) but they work well for allowing some air in without getting my ear blown out.

I ordered these, I have to try it. My passenger window is noisier than heck when open because of the snorkel re-directing the air around itself. I also ordered a bug deflector for the hood. My old K-5 really benefitted from a bug deflector, it also had near vertical windshield. I get bombarded with bugs at dusk on my windshield and hope the deflector works. Thanks for the info.

Steve.

And wow, John, new page pic, are you lightening the load for better mileage? :-)

Steve.

I got another line for that pic, " Oh, no, its a 6 x 9 " !!!!

Steve.

I got another caption for that pic, " I have been chasing that red/brown wire for days." !!

Steve.

Let us know how the bug deflector works out - I might do that too.

There was one on my rig when I bought it and the hood flopped around in the wind. I thought there was something amiss in the front radiator support latch area-wrong.... I took off the bug shield and my hood closed tight for the first time since I owned it...

Just installed the window AVS vents and the AVS bugdeflector II

Easy install, I agree with the cut quality on the window vents, but black on black makes it difficult to tell unless up close.

Will let you know how the bugdeflector works after dusk this evening.

Steve.

Looks good so-far. Any apparent issues with the hood latching properly with the deflector installed?

none, only issue might be reduced space to get fingers to hood latch mechanism, but not bad.

Steve.
