FJ Cruisers of Northern California
I have an in stock bumper "Lucrum Winch Mount" to install in the next couple weeks and looking for a GREAT winch to go with it. Maybe pick one up at the San Mateo "Truckfest" show next week. :) I was thinking one of these, but not sure about the whole Synthetic Rope thing and fitment. Seems cool though. :) http://www.4wheelparts.com/Winches-Winch-Accessories/ZEON-8-S-Recov...

Well don't pay that price. You can get a Warn M8000 for a little over half that price and then add the synthetic (recommended)
But I would shop the Truckfest for sure first.
Awesome! Thanks for the Tip ;) Great info about being able to switch out rope type. I didn't know you could do that. Do we have plenty of room back there, do I have to worry about winch size much?
99% sure the M8000 will fit on the Lucrum plate. Take it with you to the fest.
Engo also makes good winches, they are available from metal-tech and usually on sale. And i think the common ruling is that the winch should be able to pull one and a half times the weight of your vehicle. So you will be solid with at least an 8000lb rated.
The 1.5 x Rig lbs. Rating is great info. thank you Especially since I am going to consider pulling a "Teardrop" every now and then. :)
Zeon does not fit in most bumpers, I picked up the warn vr10000 in synthetic for 723 from my local 4 wheel parts today same price as show. and you don't have to clock the winch. I will be at the show also for more goodies
Right on Chris :) Thanks for the head up on the $$$ I hope its a good show.
Slightly off topic, but I like the diamond plate! I went with the normal aluminum diamond plate on mine and took off the little wings. You're the only other FJ I've seen with it.
Awesome Ryan, Thanx! Yours look COOL in the aluminum, also. They make this kind of in stock bumper mount powder coated silver too so it could match the SILVER accents of your rig. Check'em Out. ;)
Thanks for the link! Now I have to have the debate between that or a brushgaurd... Dang!
