We're in. Working on Kbob - his rig is north and he is south. We are working on a rig delivery plan as we lost our co-pilots for this trip.

After reading over in the BR, looks like we may want to send a Scout or TWO ahead and stake out our area early Friday morning.

By the time we get this big caravan together, we may not roll into camp till well after noon. Might be standing room only at that point. Looks like it's going to be a HUGE group for such a small area.

Just a thought...
I may be able to go early. Not sure how/where to stakeout an area though. I could drive in a big circle at high speed until you all get there.:-)
we looked up the estimated drive time from Westley (current planned meeting spot south of the 580/5 interchange) and it came out to 3 hours and 40 minutes. we had anticipated arriving before noon to have lunch and set up camp. i think if we left around 7:30 or 8:00 AM sharp, we'd get there around noon.

perhaps if there is a small group of early risers, they can serve as the "breakaway" group to scout out a large spot for the peloton. only thing is, we would need at least four scouts in order to save a space large enough for 20+ rigs.

on a separate note, i doubt we will have Angry Barber's Taj Mahal so we could use a couple EZ-Ups at our mini-camp. i hope they set up a main assembly area so we can hang out and meet the SoCalers.
If I do go, Which I is still up in the air with Prego, I would be willing to head out real early Friday morning or even late late Thursday night.. It will be hard for me to plan sine I am not 100% sure that I will be able to go..

But I am will to be the "early crew" if I can make it.....
I will most likely be driving up from Fresno, only about 2 hours from there. I can contact DocME to see if he wants to stake a claim w/ me.
I do plan to bring my 10x10 easy-up.
Steve, I'm good with early, on the road by 4am would put me there round 8am. If a few folks live closer and are willing to get there sooner that would be perfect
We could be on the 4:00 AM departure plan with BZ too.
awesome, good to know some of you may be able to make it down there early. i may join you guys as well.
A single point of contact for the caravan might help, too. Just have everyone meet at (Prunedale?) at X:am... Then bust it on out!

So, is RED the official NorCal color? I'm thinking of making a bunch of red jello shots for the event :)
I would take hwy 5 not 101unless we want the trip to take 5+ hours
Patterson maybe the best jump-off point
Agreed with Bz. Meeting spot along Hwy 5 is best. I'll update the first post with a caravan meeting spot for the larger caravan group.
