FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hi, I'm Georges from Luxembourg
I bought my FJ TT in Vegas/Henderson last February, and was driving around NV and CA - nothing much, just Death Valley and Yosemite. Since April she is in self storage in CA, but next week: delivrance (no banjo's)

I shall travel a bit to AZ and UT in the coming months, and need to return to Death Valley to re-shoot a couple of panoramas. Yes I am an enthusiast and freelance photographer from Luxembourg / Europe traveling the world .

This Blog has given me answers to questions I was not thinking about . Thank you all for everything you shared

Georges

Nice to hear from you. FJ's are everywhere. And so are their owners!! Please post up some pics. Luxembourg is one of a few European cities I have not yet visited. Show us pics of the FJ in  Oesling and Gutland.

Sorry to disappoint, Steve, but my FJ is in California. I haven't seen any FJ in Europe so far, but according to the rumour mill, Toyota Germany is getting ready to sell them from 2014 onwards ....

At the end of my turn, I might export my FJ to Europe, but then again, I prefer AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, UT [on purpose put alphabetically so that no one is offended HA ]

Next week I'll be in CA again, and probably will try to get an ARB Bull bar and a couple of lights, as I love night photography ....

Georges

I have discovered a very nice sight-seeing site in English, German, French, Dutch and Chinese which will show you some attractions of the town, and throughout the countryside - many old castles, churches .... but also great restaurants preparing tasty International Cuisine food.

The site for tourist information in the City of Luxembourg is ... http://www.lcto.lu/en/index

The site for tourist information in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is http://www.visitluxembourg.com/en

You will find out that now is the time of the Schueberfouer, which is celebrated since the year 1340 - sites: www.fouer.lu and http://www.visitluxembourg.com/en/place/specialEvents/schueberfouer

All in all a nice place to visit :-)

Hey many thanks for those links. Post up some pics soon.

Here is my FJ with the ARB, day one, I now have the fog lights installed in the blanks.

Steve

Thank you Steve. your FJ is looking smashing great !!!!

My Effjay still has all four paws in the air (a bit more then 2 days from now ....)

I add two of my panoramas of Death Valley, where Effjay was cutting the stiff wind for me on Dante's Peak, well above the Death Valley at sunrise in Feb, and it was really cold, and another one from my favorite ... Titus Canyon.

I think I do need banjoes for the delivrance of Effjay out of Self Storage .....

Hmmm Titus Canyon was not included ...

I would be interested in the approximate total mod cost...
Bullbar and winch and fog lights.
Thanks Steve

bulbar was $1100, winch $250, foglights $110  Added 2.25 inch leveling kit $90 plus labor and $70 alignment.

Thanks Steve.

The day after tomorrow, I'll ask the guys from World Auto Body Inc in Encinitas

if they can fit it on my Effjay TT. They fixed the rear bumper when a lady wanted to push my Effjay to California on the border to Nevada. She needed a new car after that, and Effjay had just a slight scratch in the bumper. Love my Effjay

welcome, Georges...we have a lot of photogs on here as well. nocturnal photography used to be a hobby of mine when i shot film...still getting used to it with digital. hope to see some of your work with your FJC in it!
Thank you potatomutato. I do have some pictures. As my car is cement gray, and this is one of the key colors in digital photography, i always take at least one shot of my car, to get the white balance right. Also the last time I looked, I shot well over 34000 pictures .... I can hear you, but to my defense I say that I am doing a lot of panoramas, in HDR, and some have been stitched together with over 1200 photos.
Eventually this is what I am after .... http://www.utah3d.net/utah-travel/moab/dead-horse-point.html
Some of my pictures can be found on http://georgespauly.500px.com - do check out the Death Valley set.

wellcome
