Roof Rack Question

So I'm thinking about taking the roof rack off for the summer... I will be able to park in garages and I don't use it during the summer, so why not? Plus I think it would look like a sweet buggy, haha.

However, I'm concerned it will be difficult to put back on once I take it off. I've had it on the roof for at least 3 years. Has anyone had any experience with it or do you ya'll think it will be ok?

I have the clips that go over the mounting points, so that part isn't an issue. Just worried I won't be able to fit the rack back on properly due to settling or any other unknown factors.

Any insight?
