I'm trying to remember the set up from installing mine. I went out and looked... I think your refering to one of the threaded studs the washers and nuts go on right? I'd say take the other to a hardware store and get a matching sized/thread piece of all thread to replace it. Or contact Gobi and hope they can ship you a new one. Good luck!

Ok, I just hit up the Gobi install PDF. Yeeeeaaaah, you may need a whole new hanger bracket. Was this a new never installed ladder? If so I'd think Gobi would send you a whole new part for free... I'd hit them up and see what they have to say.

Not new what happened was I bought new stainless steel nuts cause the old ones were rusting and it just twisted off befor bottoming out and tighning!!!

Crap. I wonder if the threads were bunged up? Or perhaps you had the wrong threading?  I would contact Gobi and see what they have to say. Let them know the hardware was resting up. There's always a chance they'll send you a new part. You may have to pay for shipping but... Other than that, maybe someone could fab you up a new hanger bracket... I wish I could help man, but I'm afraid that's all I've got.

No I double checked the thread lol I am pretty caucious sent an email. I am surprised they charge a premium for things but no stainless hardware well we will see their response !!!

I hope it turns out well.  Post up and lets us know what happens.
