Been chatting with this dude on Instagram. He's from Dubai. This is how he bought it from the showroom floor.

Saw an Iceberg with black wings parked on Cabrillo and 35th (ish) Ave in SF. Yakima wind fairing. NorCal decal rear lower left window. Was in the ambulance so couldn't grab a better description.

On the way back saw a red (Still my new fav btw) with a NorCal decal parked on 19th Ave and Kirkham (ish) in SF.

Heading home saw a blacked out, full tint FJ with all sorts of surf n turf stickers. Couldn't see a NorCal decal because I drive too fast.

I think that would be me with the Iceberg... I do live around that neighborhood, but are you sure it was on Cabrillo not Balboa? Unless I have a twin somewhere.

Reviving this thread in hopes of putting my curiosity to rest. A guy stopped by our house in San Jose last Thursday as we were getting packed for Pismo. He has been driving by for months now and decided to say hello.

He is the third owner of a Voodoo FJ with a hell of a nice set-up. King shocks, All-Pro bumpers front and rear, and lots more. He showed me a receipt to All-Pro for around $15,000 for various goodies. He said he bought it from a guy named Tran who bought it from a guy named John Gillian or something like Gillian.

Does anyone know this guy and what is his name on the forums? I'm just wondering because this FJ was decked out for fast desert racing and it would be cool to get this guy some pictures of his new rig.

Incidentally, this new owner has never been wheeling before so we told him to keep coming around and we'd drag him out with us to show him what it can do. He'd never heard of the Trail Team so just looked at me like, "So?" :)

The part where he has never been wheeling, and had never heard of Trail Team makes me sad. Hope he appreciates what he has. I guess if your gonna start somewhere, this is the way to do it!

Saw a nice Sun Fusion lifted, blacked out, and snorkeled on Bailey Rd in Pittsburg about 10 minutes ago. Exchanged waves, 90% sure I saw a NorCal on the back window.
