FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I noticed the other FJ forums are different.  I think someone pointed out that for most buyers the FJ Cruiser was their first 4x4, and perhaps their first enthusiast vehicle.  That doesn't seem to be the case here.

List your other enthusiast vehicles:

1991 Honda CRX - Yes, this counts.  See Jackson Racing.

1995 Wrangler - Loved this bone stock truck, except that it would top out at 70mph with 33" tires.  It was stolen and BBQed

1994 Wrangler - I-6 Hard top, lift, installed AC, Awesome 4 wheeler that I miss dearly.  However my back and sweat glands do not. I still wish I had it, but not as a daily driver.

1997 Wrangler - Great ride and articulation, but soft tops suck.  I never really liked this vehicle, and I liked it even less once they released the Rubicon.

2003 Grand Cherokee - Nothing but buyers remorse.

2007 FJ Cruiser - DR/Icon suspension ARB bumper, and all sorts of goodies.  It's perhaps my favorite DD of all time.  I'm still not used to the IFS thing for crawling, but it's been the best all around 4x4, thus far with a SURPRISING amount of aftermarket support.

Well to be honest, it had a sticker across the top that read "Shit Vette".

It also had a hood on it that had what resembled 8 single barrel carbs sticking out the hood. In reality these were just steel tubes that were weleded to the top of the hood and did not go thru.. We would then take model rocket engins and put them in with the live end facing up. We would then light each one and watch the show of flame and smoke spew from the tops. Pretty cool when your 19ish..

1956 GMC 4x4 -- My first 4x4, I wish I still had it

1970s Jeep Wagoneer -- One of the cylinders had zero compression, but with 7 more it didn't seem to matter

2010 TT -- Threw a Maggiolina car top tent on top and haven't looked back

1994 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 3" lift and massive front bumber - got totalled

2009 Kawasaki Ninja - sold- then totalled by buyer after few weeks

2010- FJ- offroading lights, metal tech front bumper with side skids, LOD rear bumber, knobby Mickey Thompson tires, getting a Radflo lift soon, amongst many more future goodies!

miss the ol' jeep, but the FJ has plans brewing for it haha

'04 Suzuki GSKR 750 - I think it goes here on the list. Sold for a lift and an SAS.
1988 Toyota SAS - 12" lift. Chevy 4.3 The few that know the story know how this truck ended up in heaven. :'(
2004 Nissan XTerra - 2" PML (Poor Man Lift), 1.5" body. 33"s. Probably the best vehicle I've ever driven in the snow. Traded that thing in for the FJ.
2007 FJ - The best all around 4x4 I've owned thus far. NFab front bumper, ProComp 3", Bushwackers, Legend 8 bronze 16" wheels, 305/75/16 Fierce Attitudes, Blue Sea fuse block, BozTec antenna mount, TRD exhaust, I'm missing something.
