Hello from East Bay

Hi Everyone! I purchased a '12 FJ manual 6 speed back in December. Just looking for advice/opinions on areas where I can off-road and have some fun. Not necessarily interested in OHV parks but more wilderness type off roading.

I previously drove an F150 supercrew that was lifted 6" with Nitto 33's. This was a big truck that took up alot space and many times straddling narrow steep roads. I took it places I probably shouldn't have but managed to survive. I got the FJ for the potential to have lot's of fun and go even further but nothing crazy like rock crawling. This is also my daily driver. Right now looking at Extreme Motorsports in Brentwood to do the lift for me since i am not able to do this myself.

Welcome. Here's some trails in the Sierra's. You may want to stick to ratings 5 & less (until you find the FJ can do anything). There are plenty more up there. I don't know of much near here other than OHV's.

Hello from the North Bay! I second it on using the knowledge and skills of those here on the forum. Were mostly local Bay Area folks and we have get togethers and install days quite frequently. I have used the skills of those here several times, from installing a front bumper/winch, tube doors, 12volt outlets, and brake shoes. Also look out for weeknight events when we get together at a local micro-brewery and have some good eats and refreshments. Look forward to meeting you soon,

First off welcome to the forums! Do you live in Brentwood? I live in Brentwood myself. If you see a Sun Fuzion with more lights than Nasa's space station that me! Feel free to say hi!

What lift are you planning on doing? We have alot of knowledgeable people here that can help. Memeber BZ has helped many a memebers do lifts and i'm sure he would be willing to lend a hand. Extreme Motors builds soe cool stuff, but compared to many other shops are on the expensive side.
