Yes it does work, I just took it out and put in an aftermarket sub. Marin County

It sounds great I would love to see a pic of it ... I live in FREMONT but I have been wanting the stock sub for a while now

Alright Nestor was the first to message me, the price is $100 and it doesn't come with the switch, you'd have to order that from toyota on your own.

I have plenty of custom switches already and I am sure one would make her happy. Just keep me in mind if everyone before me can't do it. I actually took mine out today to replace my taillights with led bulbs so you will gain plenty of room without it in there but you will need to get a cover similar to the other side to cover the hole under the window area.
