FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Yup - that's right. We have awesome beer!
Leonie and I have a few pub crawls that we're planning for the summer and we want to plan one for NorCal to visit Socal and perhaps do a brewery tour too! We have a lot of great microbreweries (and a nanobrewery!) in San Diego and I'm sure if we get enough interest going, we can get a (short) bus to haul us around so that nobody needs to drive and we can visit a few of the best breweries. As an alternative (or maybe in addition to the brewery tour on the same weekend - if you're all diehards) we can do a pub crawl in our neighborhood! We have room for a few NorCal/SoCal to stay at our place, but are close to downtown and other areas where there are plenty of hotels and the cab ride from our place wouldn't cost much. The expectation is that nobody drives if they're drinking. :)
So initially, let's gauge the interest level - post up if you are interested and might actually make the trip! From there, we'll figure out a good weekend for it to happen.
Sláinte!

Someone lied when they said that Norcal folks like beer.
Dude - I think not!
Did you just propose a challenge?
Alrighty then...it's on! Are we gonna do a Norcal brewery tour first, then follow up with Socal for the superior beer? Or do you prefer to have the best first?
Yes, we can do Norcal brewery tour first. Only thing you will probably be disappointed when you go back to a Socal brewery
Hahaha! OK...well, I have a new job so we'll have to figure out a weekend for Norcal to do the good, but less superior beer first! Figure out your Socal list and I'll light a fire under everyone.
"Set it up and they will come." ;)
I like Carl Strauss and Stone Brewing (Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard, etc...), but I LOVE LAGUNITAS!!!!
All I am going to say is Lagunitas... And!!! I agree with Tater, and I am INTERESTED!!!!!
How about we start in Eureka ( Norcal) and assess the various options and alternatives along or near the Hwy 101 beer "corridor" all the way to San Diego (SoCal)?
Should we map it? I guess that would require a bigger bus or motor home(s) or a number of DDs.
