Anyone ever been out to slick rock?

I've been there many times of the years. Once in my FJ, and many other in my 87 4Runner. NorCal has an annual 4 day trip there near the end of summer.

The last obstacle changes over time. But when I went through two years ago, stock would not make it through the end without being pulled over part of it.

I have done the trail stock. With good spotting you can get through with little damage. Rock rails are certainly useful and will take some hits on Slick Rock. As DivnGirl said, the last obstacle changes every year and is difficult to predict. If you go with a good group and take it slow and steady, it can be done stock, keeping in mind you may need some help at the last obstacle.

Thanks, I ordered some White Knuckle slider's. Hopefully they are delivered in time. I would really like to join everyone on the trip, I really don't want to hurt my baby.

Just got back from slickrock. You might need more than sliders. Trail is rougher than usual and last obstacle is gonna be tough. Pictures will be up soon.
