FJ Cruisers of Northern California
What's up all...I am currently shopping around for a used FJ. Could anyone help me in figuring out what options I definitely need to have and what options I could go without. I know a lot of things could be added or replaced aftermarket but some may be better from the factory. Keeping a price range of under $25K, let the suggestions fly. Please!!!

A rear locker is probably the only absolutely critical option needed on these trucks. The only other option that is great for wheeling would be atrac, but that can be added later for a very low cost. Everything else is, IMO, just an extra feature or can and most likely will be replaced down the line.
Thanks for the reply. Are all the standard lockers automatic? or do they come with either ones that are automatic or that you can control yourself?
Sorry if its a dumb question, I'm new to the game.
I agree with rotorhead. You'll see a lot of options, customizations, etc... here, but the locker is a must.
Or take a look and see if there is a switch in the lower center console that says RR DIFF LOCK. It'll be in front of the shifters. If thats there, then you're good to go.
Hey Pip,
If your still looking for a low mileage rig in that price range my Uncle has a 2007 Fj Cruiser in Desert Storm color. He is located up the valley from you in Red Bluff. Let me know if your interested and I can forward you his info.
